About these terms

These terms cover your use of the CraftCam app for iPhone and this website. CraftCam is made by Lucas, an independent developer (“I” or “me”). By downloading or using CraftCam, you agree to these terms.

CraftCam is licensed to you through the App Store under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”). These terms add to the Standard EULA. If the two conflict, the Standard EULA applies.

Using CraftCam

You may use CraftCam on Apple devices that you own or control, as allowed by the App Store's usage rules. Please don't copy, modify, reverse engineer or resell the app, except where the law allows it.

Some features depend on your iPhone's hardware. For example, Dual Lens and Front & Back need an iPhone that can run two cameras at once, and 4K and 60fps depend on what your camera supports. The app only offers the options your device can handle.

Free version and CraftCam Pro

CraftCam is free to download. The free version includes five video recordings in any mode, plus unlimited dual-format photos. CraftCam Pro unlocks unlimited recording and extra features such as 4K, 60fps, manual controls, the teleprompter and time-lapse. The current list is on the pricing page.

CraftCam Pro is available as:

• Annual, an auto-renewing subscription billed once a year;
• Monthly, an auto-renewing subscription billed once a month;
• Lifetime, a one-time purchase with no renewal.

All three unlock the same features. Prices are set per region and shown in the App Store before you buy.

Subscriptions and billing

• Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period, at the same price unless you've been told about a change.
• You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in Settings › your name › Subscriptions on your iPhone. If you cancel, Pro stays active until the end of the period you've paid for.
• To use Pro on a new device, tap Restore purchases in the app while signed in with the same Apple Account.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Your content

You own everything you record with CraftCam. Your videos and photos are processed and stored on your device, and I don't receive them or claim any rights to them.

You're responsible for what you record and share. Please make sure you have the right to film the people, places and material in your videos, and follow the laws that apply where you're recording.

Keep your own backups

CraftCam stores recordings on your iPhone. They're removed if you delete the app, and can be lost if your device is lost or damaged. CraftCam tries to recover interrupted recordings, but that can't be guaranteed, so save important takes to Photos or another backup.

Third-party services

Purchases go through the App Store and are verified with RevenueCat. Your use of those services is also subject to Apple's terms and to the Privacy Policy, which explains what they receive.

Changes to the app and these terms

I may update CraftCam, add or change features, or update these terms. When the terms change, I'll update this page and the effective date at the top. If you keep using CraftCam after a change, the updated terms apply.

Disclaimer

CraftCam is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, I make no warranties beyond those in the Standard EULA, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I'm not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of recordings or other data, arising from your use of CraftCam. My total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for CraftCam in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be excluded.
